Adventure Guild

I gazed into the sky that was blanketed by azure, the orange-yellow rays of the setting sun can bless this world a moment of such considerable beauty. I jumped out of my bed, stretches my limbs and went downstairs. It had been one month since we moved into this new home.   In another 4 months, I will turn 4. In the past, I was only able to conjure fire, wind and plant elements. Two of it at the intermediate stage, only plant was at the beginner stage and that was me at the age of 25.   For the reborn me, Ezra Zavlov who are currently 3-year-old, I am only able to conjure those four elements and two of them are at an intermediate stage(fire & wind), the other two are still at a beginner stage(water & plant), if people know about this they will call me a prodigy. Basically, I am cheating. I had regret my previous life mistake for neglecting the basic, always aiming to raise the stage, and because of that, I was weak despite being at the intermediate stage with two elements. Now, I had learnt my lesson.   Theo is two years older than Clara and me. He was an energetic boy, I'm glad now that Andrew has someone to listen to and admired his spear technique. While for the peach-haired girl, Clara, she still a tight-lipped girl maybe because of the slave incident and the day she was sold by someone that she had put her trust.   However, there were times that she let her cute smile painted on her face, and it seems like she was interested in a book. Ever since that, I tough her how to read. She slowly progressing to regain her confidence back. In another way to say, both of them are like a sibling to me.   And speaking of sibling…   Why did I not realise it? It was obvious during our travelling that Katelyn was sick and even throw up because she was pregnant.   I don't want to ask them 'mommy are you pregnant?' because they might be curious about how did I know that term, and if I have to give an excuse 'I read it from a book' then they might forbid me from reading.   If I look at the size of her belly, it might have been 7 months already. Was it a boy or a girl? No matter what the gender is it still means that I'm going to be a brother. Since we were in Rura City, Lesla and Sarah have been frequently visiting us, they often bring some gift for us. While Frank, Proj and Tyler, haven't returned yet from their latest quest. I heard that it was far away from the Rura Kingdom, If I'm not mistaken they were headed toward the Cisian Kingdom, which is south-west from the Rura Kingdom. Their go and back journey would take 6 weeks. Since I couldn't teach Theo and Clara the flow of mana yet because their mana core had not fully developed, I give them basic education. How to write, read and a few knowledge about magic. In the past, I didn't get a proper education, the one who taught me was Youm and Gren.   For my precious time, I spent most of its under a fine shady tree in our backyard. My routine is either reading magic books, train my mana circulation or do some research about this era.    After a few weeks of teaching Theo and Clara, they had shown some progress. However, despite their age differences, Clara learned faster than Theo. Well, I'm not that surprised either because Clara gave more attention during my lesson than him.   Since Katelyn was pregnant, Andrew didn't apply for any jobs instead he has been doing the F-Rank quest, the delivery quest around the city so that he would return afternoon.   Then, one day he wants me to accompany him to the Adventurer Guild.   Anyway! Of course, I had accepted it. I really want to visit the Adventure Guild, how much has it change I guess?   ...............................   The next morning, we headed to the Adventure Guild by horse to do some F-Rank delivery job. I might learn a bit about the city along the way. After Andrew lift me on the horse, I wave my hands to Theo and Clara. They can't come along because it would trouble Andrew, the plaza is a busy place anyway.   The travel that took us to the Adventure Guild was just around 10 minutes, it is not that far. However, what I'm more worried about was the weather. It seems like it will pour heavy rain. Good things we prepared cloaks with us.   When we arrived, I left my mouth gaped, The Adventure Guild in Rura City that I used to visit had completely changed. How should I describe it? It looks like the guild had been renovated into a mansion, it is huge.   A lot of time ago, a group of powerful adventurers founded an Adventurer's Guild for training, organizing, and... keeping an eye on adventurers. Because of the power and renown of this founding group of Adventurers, the guild grew rapidly and now has outposts and guild halls in many places throughout the world. Adventurers have begun to be seen in a much better light as they are hired out to aid kingdoms, villages, and individuals in need.   Jobs are categorized by nature and rating both of which are factors in the fee charged. The Difficulty starts at F which is an almost trivial task and ends at SS task so difficult and dangerous that only Hunters with a level of skill equivalent to tier-one special forces operatives would have any chance at it.   Hunters are graded on the same scale and are only allowed to take on jobs that are at or one degree higher than their current grade; the guild has a vested interest in its hunters living to complete jobs.   Hunter's can take on higher ranking jobs if they are part of a party. A party has a rank drawn from the ranks of its members.   As we entered inside the guild, there were many adventurers. As expected even in this early morning. We walked toward the counter, there were two women on their duty there. "Oh it's Andrew again, another delivery quest?" one of the women asked him. Andrew replied with a nod.   "Oh my, who's this cute little boy?"   Andrew lift me and put me on the counter. "This is my son, Ezra, go on introduce yourself." I bowed myself and greet them. "Hi, I'm Ezra Zavlov, son of Andrew and Katelyn Zavlov. Nice to meet you".  Kyaa!~  Hmm…seems like my spell charm were effective.   After that short introduction, both of them were playing with my cheeks. I looked at Andrew with a 'help me' face. Thank goodness, he understands that and put me down on the floor. After that, both of them told us to take a look at the quest board.   The quest board was on the right side of the counter. While Andrew was looking for a delivery quest, I was more attracted to the Ranking Board. It's a board that displays the top ranking of individual and party that had accomplished or contributed great things to the Adventurer Guild. I was busy looking at the names on this ranking, Andrew had already selected the delivery quest and when to the counter.   Hmmm…the name here are mostly new. Did the Phantasma Party had disbanded? It was a party that quite well-known in the past. Well, nothing is interesting here, I'm still young to go on an adventure.   As I turned back at the counter, Andrew was no longer there, no, he was no longer in this guild.   ????????   Where did he go? I was dumbfounded… He couldn't have forgotten his son right?  I quickly charged to the entrance. When I was outside of the guild, he really did leave his son. I was astounded.
