Chapter 24
Jen slept well and woke up refreshed, with Zack on her mind. She got out of bed and stretched. She quickly made her bed and brushed her teeth.
She had thought he might kiss her on Friday night; he looked like he wanted to. It had been a pleasant evening. She had enjoyed his stories. He was easy to talk with, and they seemed to have a lot of similar interests. He had come to church yesterday. He arrived late and sat in the back. She had been disappointed that she did not have time to visit with him.
All day Saturday, she had contemplated what it meant that the man who had broken in was from the human-trafficking g**g. She would do some more research on them today and see what she could come up with. She also wanted to find out more about Gordon Denver.
