There were a lot of license plates on Paulie’s list, and they had to try to figure out how to track them and predict where they would be at a certain time. Then they needed to coordinate a time to intercept as many of them as possible to prevent them from going underground. They needed to do it quickly. The sooner they were able to stop these criminals, the less likely more women and children would be harmed. The more women and children that were saved resulted in less heartache and devastation for the family and friends of the victims.
