Chapter 40
Paulie was terrified. First, those men were going to come after him, and now he was in the car going to a safe house. The man beside him was very tall—taller than Zack. He had dark hair and a mustache. He seemed to be angry. He said he was Special Agent Joseph but that Paulie could call him Joe. Paulie decided he would just call him Agent Joe.
He shrank back into the seat as far as he could. He didn’t want to make Agent Joe any angrier.
After ten minutes of silence, Agent Joe finally spoke. “Paulie, right?”
