When the doorbell rang at seven the next morning, Jen was surprised that she had been feeling so sad she had not even heard the warning go off. She opened the door, and Zack stood there. She didn’t know what to do. “Would you take a walk with me?” She nodded. “I need to put my shoes on.” After putting on her shoes, she walked slowly to the door. She was dreading this conversation.
