As to the works of Mssrs. Coleridge and Blake — I hope that I may show you some of the reasons that I love their poems. Also, as libertine as Mr. Coleridge may present himself in his poems, may I ask whether you have ever read his essays, especially those on the works of Shakespeare (essays that Miss Mary and I discussed in passing this afternoon)? If you do not find them worth reading on their own account, perhaps I can offer you some reward for having read them? Odd, interesting Miss Mary is in fact somewhat younger than Georgiana I believe. She may indeed be younger than Lydia, a thought that I should rather not dwell on, given what I know about both young women. Should Mary Godwin be my younger sister rather than Lydia Wickham, I should be happy for far more stimulating conversation.
