Dust had gathered all over the ground. It was strange to walk upon Thuapra, for every time you stepped, a small cloud of ash would puff upwards to greet you. There were countless prints left behind you as you walked, and it made you feel vulnerable and seen. Other thousands of prints were barely visible in the ash, making it clear you were not alone here. Strangely enough, the air was damp and warm, despite the dryness of the land and the way the trees had all shriveled up and died. "And what are these creatures supposed to eat?" Angelique found herself asking as she stopped by a dead shrub. "They are dead. They don't need to eat, drink, sleep or anything." Azrael commented, stopping to wait for her.
