ARIA Corvin nudged me with his shoulder, a quiet signal, then picked up his pace into a steady trot. I followed without trouble, staying just behind him where he wanted me. My wolf stayed close to the surface, alert and tense, eyes and ears open to everything around us. What I told him hadn’t been a lie.
