Awareness snapped back like a blade through fog. A scream ripped out of my chest before I could stop it, and the truth landed all at once.
Something was terribly wrong.
There was no floor. No walls. Only an endless drop stretching in every direction. A black chasm, swallowing everything.
The wolf was gone from me.
She moved without my permission, without my voice. I could only watch as she launched herself at Nyssa again, fast and savage. The hit landed hard. Claws met flesh. Blood sprayed. Nyssa screamed as her body slammed into the wall.
"Enough!"
