The students were very smart, especially the boys. Elsa told Amaryllis the boys would get a basic Nokia set and hide it in the cup which was attached to the ceiling fan. They would open the bulb holder and connect the charger directly into it. Same with girls.  If they used mobiles they would hide it in their cupboard or inside their shoes or inside the makeup kit and chargers were hidden safely in their closet. The books given to them, especially the thick ones, would cut out the dimension of the mobile inside the book creating a box and keep the phone there and place the book back on the shelf.  Perks of being Engineers.  There were so many ways.
