THE UNFATHOMABLE LOVE

The First Day(4)

The first year students both girls and boys, were still occupying their seats. Even the seniors were doing the same. Amaryllis checked the time it was 8:45 a.m. The assembly will start at 9 a.m. The hall was completely seated around 8:55 a.m.

The Chancellor had arrived and he proceeded towards the auditorium. As soon the chancellor stepped inside the auditorium everybody rose to their feet. The Vice Chancellor and all the HOD’s followed behind the chancellor. They proceeded towards the stage and reached their respective seats the MC started the assembly.

Amaryllis was looking at the stage carefully. Cheryl and Amaryllis were discussing the distinguished people on the stage. The MC started the day addressing the chancellor and all the other dignitaries. Then proceeded to the  choir to start with the first song followed by the prayer. Then the MC introduced all the dignitaries on the stage. After introduction the choir proceeded with their second song and after the song ended the MC requested the Chancellor to share a few words.

 The chancellor wished everybody good morning and started with a promise verse for the day. He explained that it was God’s will and plan to be present there. This was the first time in Amaryllis’ life when she heard people preaching about the Gods role in life. She believed in God but her beliefs were not strong enough. But it was her first time she realized that God’s got it all unlike her thoughts. She was keenly listening to all the things the chancellor and other dignitaries said. The chancellor motivated the first year students for their journey ahead and the fourth year students to be more dedicated towards their career. Before ending the speech and returning to his seat the chancellor prayed submitting everything into God’s hand.

 Amaryllis felt something different as her vision had broadened a little and she could feel slight change in her. It was something divine. A small step closer to God.  There was a small song by a special guest and then the MC concluded the assembly by requesting everybody to stand up for the National Anthem.

 The first year students were requested to stay back while the rest of them left. The Director for the first year program explained about the curriculum for the first year students and what are the rules for them. All the first year students were listening keenly. Amaryllis was pondering over the rules mentioned to them. Then all of the first year students were greeted specially by the chancellor on stage.
