The Unexpected Meeting

Alexander’s P.O.V     Today was my first day as a senior, I woke up early and took a quick shower, then I wore a white t-shirt along with black slightly ripped jeans and black shoes… Damn I look hot. After having breakfast, I walked to school since it was two blocks away. Right now, I was standing in front of the school’s building, I was excited to start my new life with new people around me, in addition to that, a weird  feeling of happiness pounding in the corner of my heart as if something good was going to happen; I brushed it off and entered the school masking my excited face with a serious one.     As I entered the hallway, all eyes were fixed on me, girls looked fascinated by my appearance, while boys were glaring at me for steeling the attention… well it wasn’t my fault if I am attractive*mentally smirking*.  As I kept walking, I saw Jake coming towards me.     “Hey bro, looking good on your first day, attention taker!” He winked at me.     “Yeah, I could give you some lessons, I guess you are in desperate need for them.” I mocked him.      He rolled his eyes, then asked me what was my first class which was English.     “Boring! His name is Mr. James Smith, it always gives a good first impression when you have know some info about them.” He adviced me while walking towards a class door. “This is the English class and make sure we meet at the cafeteria so we could eat together.” He added and I just nodded. “Good luck.” He shouted as he ran through the hallway.     As soon as I entered the class, eyes were fixed on me as I started speaking “Good morning Mr. James.” I said with my sweetest smile.     “Good morning to you too. You must be the new student.” He greeted me and looked back to the students “See, he is new here and already knew my name. Learn from him.” He stated pointing at me with a – I hate my job- look on his face. “Please introduce yourself.”     I nodded still keeping my smile “I am Alexander Williams, I just came from New York City a week ago and I will be spending my senior year at this school which I am sure that it will be amazing.”     Mission accomplished…I guess this gave a good impression with that charming smile of mine when I saw the girls daydreaming about me… yet I didn’t expect that I would grab the students' attention this quick.     “Please take a seat Alex.” He motioned for me to enter and added “And girls please focus.” He rolled his eyes.     The day passed by unexpectedly fast. At lunch, I met the boys and sat with them, I guess they are more popular than I thought they were. Every now and then, students came over to introduce themselves which I gladly accepted, more like the boys than the girls because I didn’t want girls all over me from the beginning, so I just smiled at them trying not to be mean. However, there was this popular girl Stephanie, she was flirting with me non-stop which I really hate the most. For me, I didn’t like those girls who start flirting with the boys and be all over them, that’s annoying.        Since the day was over, I decided to drop my stuff in my locker, but somehow I ended up in the school’s administration… dammit I got lost. As soon as I saw the secretary, I asked her “Hello, I got lost, can you please direct me towards the lockers?”     “It happens a lot, just turn right and use the stairs.” She said with a professional smile.      I thanked her and walked in the directions that she gave me. As I was about to turn right, I saw a very familiar face, the face that I missed to see these past days, the most beautiful and innocent face I’ve ever seen in my life. I couldn’t lose her again; from that night I couldn’t stop thinking about her. There must be something special about her that attracted me, that awoken those new feelings in me. Did I like her from the first sight? I don’t think so, it’s just all new to me and messing with my mind. But for now, I wanted to see her ravishing blue eyes again. I scurried after her since she was walking fast, still far, as I opened my mouth to call her name, I closed them shut. Yeah, as stupid as it sounds, last time I couldn’t get her name. I started to get nervous of the thought of never seeing her again after she turned left and wasn’t in my sight anymore, so I shouted what first came over my mind.     “My angel!” Freya’s P.O.V       Lex: Cupcake I’m waiting for you at the parking lot.     Lexi texted me as I left the principle’s room. Thanks to her, I turned into a cupcake lately which sounds cringy, but she explained herself by stating that cupcakes can’t be resisted so was I… not.       Freya: Okay. I’ll be there in 5.     I didn’t want her to wait for me so I rushed down the hallway. I suddenly froze in my place as soon as I heard someone yelling.     “My angel!”     Oh my god! Could it be him? Could it be the only boy that I’ve been thinking of? Could it be? I felt an overwhelming feeling in the pit of my stomach, I was nervous as thoughts started flying in my mind, one giving me hope and the other disappointment, but I only knew one thing if it was true or not I wouldn’t lose this chance. It might be him!     I immediately ran backwards and suddenly bumped into something…someone. Great Freya, great. Just when I was about to fall, two arms were wrapped around my waist. I looked at the boy in front of me and met those alluring green eyes, I got lost in them…again. My heartbeat fastened, beating so loud that it could be heard in this echoic hallway. I knew exactly who he was, he was my protector, he was the boy who stole my sleep occupying my mind with his handsome figure. From that night, I kept on dreaming of his eyes, his beautiful attractive unforgettable eyes. At that moment, I started recalling our night at the party, how he protected me, how he held me in his arms, how I felt safe. It felt so right being between his arms, as if we were perfectly made for each other just like a piece of a puzzle. It’s the second time that I fell in his arms, yet I couldn’t feel safer. Why do I always end up in his arms?     “I guess you like me holding you between my arms, it’s the second time.” He smirked bringing me out of my thoughts. Did I say that loud?     “I…I don-..I don’t.” I stuttered. “You bumped into me!” I defended myself trying to hide my red cheeks.     “Then why are you still between my hands?” He asked raising his brow playfully.      My jaw dropped and my eyes widened at his question, my cheeks got a shade darker if that was even possible. I immediately straightened myself up and got nervous. Nervous because of his presence, of him being that close with me, of having a conversation with him. One minute, I was excited and nervous. What’s going on with me? I’m probably mentally sick…yeah right.     “So, what are you doing here?” I asked him to hide my embarrassment.     “I am studying here, and you do too right?” I face palmed myself mentally. What a stupid question. Of course he is a student here, what else would he do here?     “Yes, I do. Are yo-“ I was interrupted when my phone started ringing. It was Lexi, she must have been cursing me for being late.     I looked back at him sadly and said “I’m sorry, I have to go.” I was about to leave when he held my wrist gently causing me to look at him.     Our eyes met again and as if we got lost in each other. He looked deeply at me lost in his own thoughts, that’s when I raised my brow resulting him to get back to his senses “Uh yes.. I didn’t get your name.”        “Freya.” I smiled at him, as I saw his smile growing brighter and wider.     “Alexander.” He replied showing his perfectly white tooth.     “Then, see you tomorrow.” I said as I started walking backwards still facing him.     It all felt like a dream and I couldn’t be any happier. Was he as happy as I was? Or was it a friendly act? Although, a small part of me wanted it to be more. I hope that tomorrow we will spend more time together and get to know him...
