Its been 4 months after Jose rescued the young girl from her father's cruelty, he gave her work at his house as a maid for a start until she recovers....

Anna-may's....its been months in this house and i have been treated with respect, i have no problems whatsoever and i enjoy working here, i get to make little money for myself. I really enjoy going to movies and shopping.... Oh!that reminds mei have a dress i want to try on i should ask Helena to go for some coffee lunch, she has beem good to me and necame lime mother to me she helped me a lot and ahe never goes out anyway so i must treat her and mayne buy Jose something to thak him for rescuing me also with his kindness to keep me here when i had nowhere to go, i know he might not need anything especially from me Oh! Dear Lord it wil not be as expensive as his taste but maybe "the thought will count" in this case just to show i appreciate his kind act

I need to think what to get them both for a gift. I have to go shopping by tomorrow

Anna-may has healed well for herself, she is doing great even here in the house Helena is impressed by her work, ahe looks more happy, free and goes out a lot lately Helena says she goes to movies and dates that thought pissed me off for some reason i just got irritated thinking she goes out with other man out there i have no idea y id feel this way but i just do maybe i pity her.... "no it cant be pity" i thought to myself

"she is beautiful she even cut her hair short and curled it maybe thats why i keep noticing her presence more than i should theres something about her that is different from a lot of woman i met, she works hard Helena keeps saying she doesnt feel sorry for herself, even how she looks its different. Helena - "child where have you been its more than four house you went out i was starting to worry about you"

Annamay -" im sorry I my got carried away i stayed for this play i saw down town and it was worth watching, you should see it Ms Helena i know youll love it" i said excitedly but as always she turns me down politely

Helena - "Oh! Child" thats all she ever say when declines my offer or requests

Annamay - "lets have lunch date tomorrow Ms Helena you never go out nor ever do anything out of this house its my treat you been so good to me i just want to do something nice for you please say yes" i said in one breath clamping my hands together with puppy eyes toddlers voice

Helena - "if only you promise to take me to the coffee sho that makes the best carrot cake" she said with a smile on her face "cant believe didnt take her so much to agree to my pleading this time" thinking to myself as i hug her and take out a small plastic as gibe it to her with a huge smile on face deep inside praying nervously she likes her gift

Anna-may "this is to thank you for being so kind and motherly to me and everyone around you

Helena -" Oh!child you don't have to do this"

Anna-may "i know but i wanted to its my appreciation to you, please take it Ms Helena you have no idea how much you motherly kindness has done for me"

Helena - "ok.....but this should be the last gift you ever buy"

Anna-may "im not promising anything but now open it and see if youd like it" i said changing the subject so quickly

As she is open the box Jose walks in in suprise with a raised thick black eyebrow..... "how lucky you are to receive a gift and its not your birthday" says with a slight smile on his face, Helena laughed at his remark "its Anna-may's gift i was about to open it when you walked it" she replied smiling looking down the box im her hand

Anna-may.....i turn to Jose and handed him his gift also he looked me straight im the eyes with blinking "ere you mother Christmas you handing everyone in the house gift today" he said with a serious face "he can joke around" thinking to myself

"not at all i just wanted to thank you and Ms Helena for your kindness, its much but hope you like it"

He walked out without a word as his fone was ringing in his pocket, "why did i think ill get a hug from him let alone a smile from him, should stop thinking he might could like me more than his maid the girl he rescued" i thought as i look back to Helena with sad eyes

Helena "dont worry child youll understand some day his world better"
