I HUNT THE SUPERNATURAL

CHAPTER SIX

I look up and see Rayne who is looking at me with a smug smile. "Not from you!" I say back sarcastically. " Don't be like that, just let me help you!" He says and he literally lifts the dead werecat off me. I slowly get up not breaking eye contact with Mr Shapeshifter.

Okay you probably wondering what has he ever done to me to make me hate him, I mean the guy is so sure of himself and we did have a one night stand fling, I didn't know he was a shapeshifter but he wasn't in his own skin to be specific, he was pretending to be Hardin to sleep with me. At first I declined him whilst he was dressed as himself so he decided to be Hardin for the night but I felt something was off, it wasn't the usual s*x that I have with Hardin and viola it wasn't Hardin but Mr Rayne (I didn't know his name until Hardin told me) and this happened months ago, and yeah I am still mad about it all!

"It's all in the past Raven, let it go" he waves it off with a huge smile on his face. He was probably thinking of that night, Urgh I feel so cheated by this guy!

I just give him one of my unimpressed looks and dust myself off. I take my katana out of the werecat and sadly they don't go to dust, always less messy with the fangs but with the weres you have to burn them. "I can help you burn his body if you like?" Rayne offers and he actually looks sincere suggesting it. "Okay but I am not going to sleep with you!" I exclaimed with a little bit of hostility in my voice. He throws his hands in the air in surrender. "Don't worry Raven, this is just business" he says and then winks. Urgh I think to myself.

After we took the werecat body to an area that we can build a fire and burn his body, he went up quickly in the flames and once his body was just ashes we put the fire out hoping no one saw us.

"You want to go grab a drink or two?" Rayne offers. I just look at him and I literally would rather stab my eyes with a fork but I don't say this. I reply back with "NO" and walk back to my motorbike. "Nice ride" Rayne says admiring my bike. "Thanks" I mutter back. " I guess I see you around Raven" and with a wave he turns around and disappears. I jump on my bike, start the engine and drive off into the night.
