CHAPTER 3 *The Blood, The Serum.*

1893 Words
"What in the hell is this place."  The human asks in a gasp as the metal door opens, revealing a sight he finds quite unbelievable. "What does it look like to you human."  Delisha asks, her tone dripping with sarcasm, and the human rolls his eyes.  "I know it's a laboratory, but why the hell do you have a laboratory one built underground at that."  The human man asks, and Delisha hisses. Walking into the lab,  "I don't know; you tell me why do people build things underground, don't you watched movies, oh I forget you are a mad one you can't possibly watch a movie."  Delisha asks with sass turning to the man. "That's uncalled for, and I am not a madman. Are you plotting some secret mission down here, why do you have to go through all the trouble of building a secret and where did you get the money to build such, magnificent facility."  "I am not sure if I should commend you for being inquisitive or if I should worry that you ask dumb questions."  Delisha answers the human leading the way towards the partitioned section of the laboratory secluded away from the other parts of the lab in a large glass cubicle. In contrast, the human man stood in his spot, his eyes travelling around the quiet and cold lab.  Scientists in white coats and gloves with test tubes in their hands and other labs equipment moved about, while some stayed glued to the microscope observing their test work.  The lab seems to have different sections as large glass panels divide between the working space of the scientists.  "You look too much I don't have all day."     Delisha calls to the man with a tone of irritation as she turns back, realising the human wasn't following her.   The human man looks away from the scientist who seems to cut what looks like flesh off a body he couldn't quite place if it belongs to a human or animal because of the white sheet draped over the object.  As he walks further into the lab space, the harsh smell of blood and chemical hits him hard and he scrunched up his nose, coughing quietly, not wanting to attract attention to himself.  "You didn't answer my question still, what's the purpose of building this facility."  The human asks as he catches up with Delisha.  "You ask too much question."  She replies, pushing the glass door open, stepping into another section of the lab which seem to be secluded, with arm men guarding the entrance.   "If you're going to make me do your dirty work for you, I think I need to know what I am getting into."  The human says, and Delisha turns to him with a scowl on her face.  "Let me correct that statement of yours, and I am not making you do my dirty work, I am only trying to help you achieve the revenge your soul yearns for while also enacting my revenge. It's called killing two birds with one stone, and along the way, I would end making you powerful, so I think I am the one doing the good here in helping you and not the other way round."  Delisha responds, leaving the human dumbfounded as he tries to come up with words to say.  "Well, that doesn't mean I am not entitled to know what's going on down here. Anyone in my shoes would be curious too if they suddenly get transported to a secret underground laboratory."     Delisha sighs and turns to him.  "See... what's your name again?"  She paused, trying to remember the man's name.  "Cillian, now do I need to write it down for you, you've asked me for my name the fifth time today."  The man grunts his response with displeasure and Delisha rolls her eyes in mock.  "Whatever, look Cillian, I don't know why it hasn't occurred to you that this is a research lab, and those men you see in white coats are a scientist. It is underground because I want everything done here to remain a secret till I achieve success and I cannot afford to jeopardise the work going down here. This place right here is where I am going to create history. The greatest weapon ever known to man and supernaturals will get created here, and I need the blood of that one wolf to achieve this goal."   Delisha tells Cillian, and as she explained the purpose or the facility with him, her eyes shone with something Cillian noted as a thirst for power and revenge.  "I see, but if truly this wolf you claim to have the power to regenerate exists, why aren't you looking for them yourself. You said you're a witch right, which means you have magic that means you have the power to fish them out whoever they are, why not do it yourself why me a mere human?"  Cillian asks looking confusedly at Delisha, who felt the powerful need to break the man's neck.  "Blame their Stupid Alpha King, who has eyes and ears everywhere like that of a goddess. Wolves and witches are not on good terms, we've never been, any wolf would smell me from miles away. The moment I step foot onto their land uninvited they would know and that murder who calls herself their King would fish me out. As for you, no one would see it coming, not even the Great Alpha Allison. Even if they see you, they won't overthink of it you a harmless human after all. Besides, when my sister died, I lost a fragment of my power. My mom bonded our powers together with some dark magic which should have been, broken before my half-sister drew her last, but I was too late, and she took a fragment of my powers with her, so I can't go up against the wolf yet." Delisha explains to Cillian, who listens with keen interests and nods his head.  "But you just said it yourself that I am a mere human what if they find out that I am a treat, I need to protect myself, you know?"  Cillian says and Delisha heaves of sigh frustrated to the bones.  "If only you would shut up for a minute or two and just let me f*****g show you the reason I brought you down here."  Delisha spats, turning away from him and walking towards the cubicle with a few scientists. Cillian looks troubled for a moment, wondering what he did wrong in worrying about his safety.  Yes, maybe he is asking the same question repeatedly in a different context with unfamiliar words, but she can't blame him if he fears for his life and safety.  "What do you have for me?"     Delisha asks, walking over to the scientist, who is in charge of the experiments going on in the lab section.  "Not much Master, but we have made a little progress with the specimen, Please this way."  The scientist says carefully putting down the measuring and motions for Delisha to follow him.  "Come with me."   Delisha calls for Cillian, who is busy trying to look through the opaque glass to see what's happening on the other side. He hastens away from the glass and rushes after Delisha.  "Here it is, so far we have been able to separate the blood particles, we are still trying to break down the genetic chromosomes in the blood to see if we can get the DNA responsible for the regenerative abilities. But so far, all we are having is negative. The good news is we made a serum from a few drops of the blood, but we still need to test on a human this time to see what it will do to a body."  The doctor says, and Delisha nods.  "To tell you the truth, I am not impressed with the outcome of your work so far, I don't have eternity, but I've known you for a while now, and you don't disappoint so I am counting on you. Can I have a look at the serum?" Delisha says, and the Scientist nods, he was to what looks like a freezer at the corner of the room, opens it and brings out a vial. The scientist walks back to Delisha, carefully giving her the vial.  "What's that?"  Cillian asks out of curiosity, and Delisha smiles sweetly at him for the first since the day began.  "This, my dear, is the first step to creating my perfect weapon. After my sister's death, I went back to her home. While I retrieved her belongings, I stumbled upon a hidden room filled with blood in different bags and test tubes. And I took it after reading some files attached to it, It appears my sister's mate was up to something. He was this close to unravelling the secret to powers, but death took him. I brought the blood back with me and started this facility to proceed with what my sister and her mate started. The scientist would run experiments on the bloods looking for anything unusual until they finally discovered the blood bag holding this blood, I don't know the wolf it belongs to as there was no information attached to it, but after much experiments and the various test ran on the blood, we discovered how special it is. This serum right here is the first successful substance experiment made from droplets of the blood, but we are yet to see what effect it would have on a host."  Delisha explains with a glint in her eyes.  "Dr Oscar, why don't we test it on our human here and see what wonders it would do."  Delisha says giving the doctor a sickening smile.  "Master, I think we should test it a few more times on animal first. We still aren't sure of what it would do to a human body, the body might fight it, or it might be too potent for the human body, maybe a few more tests."  Dr Oscar tells Delisha who looks to the vial and shakes her head vigorously.  "I told you I don't have forever, Cillian here is with for a reason."  Delisha says, pointing towards Cillian, who backs away.  "Wait a minute, Delisha; you didn't tell me I am supposed to be a lab rat."  Cillian says, backing away from them.  "You are not a lab rat, You asked me a few minutes ago how I plan to keep you safe from the wolves, here is the first step to that, so just suck it up like a man and let's get this over."  It throws Cillian mind into confusion as his eyes darted from the scientist to the vial in her hand. He knows he has two options, either accept to be injected with the vial in peace or get forced to do it, and those two choices have two outcomes. It either does positive to his body or kills him. With a heavy sigh, Cillian walks back to Delisha who hands over the vial to the scientist who leads Cillian to a bed and the scientist and two others strap him to it as they inject him with the serum in the vial. "Delisha, I think something is ...."  Cillian tries to speak before he falls into a sudden unconscious state.
