LEONARD In my line of work, I have one time or another suffered injuries of all sorts. From gun wounds to stabs and many more. But none of the pain I suffered can be compared to this. It was the horrid kind that you only hear about in the movies. The rattling teeth kind. I have lost count of the number of times I have fainted. There is no more strength left in me. I can't tell what's worse. The pain and the helplessness, or the fact that it is Strand himself who is supposedly getting me through the circus his daughter had created. I wish I could tell him to take his f*king daughter and get lost, but I can't even utter a coherent word. I feel like I have been skinned inside out. I can't seem to breathe in enough.
