“I saw you leave.”
“Yeah, and I saw you enter your father's mansion.” Leo retorted subjectively. He was itching to ask her what had happened. It was obvious she wasn't okay and since Henry had been right all along, Leo wondered if he was right about her having a fight with her father for his sake.
“Here.” Leo placed an overly excited Max on her lap. “He has a lot of tears today,” Leo answered Camilla's unasked question. She was frowning, looking at Max's puffy eyes. Hugging him to her tightly, Max squealed, thinking they were playing a game. “Mommy!” He cackled. That was a first. Leo thought at the same time as Camilla. Max hadn't used the word mommy before.
