Yvette's POV
My world came to a stop after his words landed, the only thing I could hear being our heartbeat. I opened my mouth to speak, but my words were stuck in my throat.
I couldn't look away from his piercing grey eyes.
He didn't tear his gaze from my lips.
I moved not sure what I was doing until the heat from our bodies felt unbearable.
"I could ease you from all your stress," he whispered, voice raspy.
I pulled his face to mine, kissing his lips without warning. I held back so long and tried to pretend that he wasn't here… near… so instead of bliss, I felt agony. It felt like punishment… letting myself get devoured by something unreal to him and terrifyingly real for me.
