"We'll only get as much information as we can without acting," he sighed.
"You think it might be a trap?"
"You wouldn't have thought about going to see Christopher if she hadn't sounded convincing enough, would you?"
I kept quiet, realising the truth in all he said. I relaxed into the chair, slightly in awe at how brilliant and meticulous he was.
"Also, I haven't told you this before so I'll tell you now. Christopher is shameless enough that he'd want to make advances at you—"
"Even though we're engaged and he has Evelyn?"
He smirked, twirling in his chair before stopping to lean closer to me.
