Knox's POV
She ran after my father before I could even say a word to her and just like that, I hit rock bottom, oblivious of what was happening and why they were happening the way they were.
I shrugged off Dave's hands from my shoulder just in time to catch him looking at the folder with the same suspicion.
Without saying a word, I opened the folder to find legal papers. Legal property papers transferring ownership to me.
"What the…?" I stopped midway, realising that he had already signed the papers. Meaning he got them and signed them even before the meeting started.
I blinked in confusion.
"Why would he do that?" Dave moved uncomfortably behind me.
"What is he up to?" I pondered until I found a missing part of the puzzle and everything clicked.
