Mariana felt her back hit the bed as her eyes slowly grew heavy as she fell into a deep slumber.

Mariana was bounded and kept in the dungeon with the other girls, she had no idea what was going to become of her. Knowing how terrible the king was, she could only think of the worst things possible but then again she hoped for the best.
Just then a guard walked towards the gate, “Stand up let’s go, the king wants to see you” The guard said sternly as he looked at them. Due to their sore bones it took the girls quite a while to adjust themselves but the guard was not having any of that, he grabbed Mariana’s arm roughly and pulled her forward making her wince as the other girls followed due to the chain that connected their arms together.
