"Ughh!!"
"It's morning already, wait!!"..quickly picked up her phone
"Damn, this loud alarm didn't even wake me up, exams are around the corner, and here I am, sleeping like a log" I quickly got up and took a bath, got dressed and rushed to school without breakfast.
"Hi, I am Radiance, the second daughter of the Salem family, I am currently in my second year at the University of Benin. Well, thats all for now gotta go, it seems like I am already late for class.
"Hey Radiance"..my friend called out.
"Huh!?" I turned to see one of my friend just arriving also.
"Did you bring your lab coat?"..she asked while walking towards me.
"Yea, I did. Why are you asking?"...I spoke while extending my hand for a shake.
"Did you wash yours?"
"What's with that mischievous grin of yours, of course I did, seems like you are alone today" I laughed at her because I was quite sure she didnt wash hers
"Ahh, I thought you didn't anyways, we will be visiting the anatomy lab today. Ughhhh, I hate the smell of formaldehyde"..she she kept lamenting as we got close to our class
"Yea, that smell keeps making me hungry all the time, anyways don't sit near me during practical, I don't want to be called a friend to a pig" ..I teased as i rushed into the class and took my sit.
Reaching for my phone, i decided to call Muizzah my close friend because i noticed she wasn't in class...
" Hey! Wassup, where are you, i left for class from my hostel and i thought you had gotten to class already.." I asked immediately she picked.
"Seriously, you've done it again, always forgetting the fact that someone is waiting for you..argh" she exclaimed over the phone.
"I'm sorry I totally forgot, please don't be angry" I tried acting cute.
"Just stop whatever you are doing because its not cute at all anyways, I'm on my way I figured you left me again, I hope you kept sit for me madam!"
"Yes I did momma..."
"Shut up, your momma is at home i***t" she interrupted me, I couldn't help but laugh at her sudden outburst.
"Whatever, just come quickly before your sit gets taken" I said and hung up the call.
Someone tickled me from behind and I turned to see my crush dressed in his corporate outfit looking very fashionable, not gonna lie, that was one of the reasons I liked him.
"What's up pretty, you are looking really stunning today, it makes me feel like hugging you tight"..Amiri said said as he winked at me.
"Gosh! I found myself blushing so hard, I just can't explain why but the way he talks and acts gives me a sense of familiarity, like its part of those novels I've read.
"Thanks, you look good also" I complimented with a smile, and watched him take his sit. He knows I like him and I'm sure he likes me too, or so I thought, I remember those times when guys approached me and I would tell Muizzah to give me a few days and and they will end up as my status viewer, of which they become eventually. They usually remind me of those greasy men from novels I've read. But whatever chemistry I had with this guy, I wanted it to last even my close friends all said the same thing. He fits the all my perfect description of a perfect guy, the ones I imagined myself with, personally speaking I think we will look great together though lol.
" Hey missy, why are you blushing to yourself" Muizzah s*****d my forehead and brought me out of my dreamland
"Huh?.."
"I just saw Amiri going to take his sit, gosh, sometimes I find it hard to believe that something is actually going on between you two.."
"Yea!.. I find it hard to believe too, because their talks always ends after hey, hi, how are you" Eddy chipped in
"Well, you guys know that I'm not used to all these and I spend most of my time fatanizing and racing novels that associating" I said as I signed, well Eddy is my bro, like we are so close that we no longer see ourselves as siblings and if you must know, I'm not used to all this public display of affection because it feels kinda weird to me, although we mostly chat online. I think I'm really good at expressing myself there, with time I got to know that this wasn't good at all.
"Anyways, after the class let's head to buka before the practical" Muizzah said and immediately the lecturer entered the class..
