During the past two days, Aria had studied the working system of summoning no-face squad members. They weren't allowed to tell Aria directly but were allowed to answer some of Aria's questions. Sometimes Nana or Atha would answer it in detail, and sometimes they would tell Aria to find out on her own. At least she already understood most of the working system of this token.
This token was not an ordinary object but was a dimensional space, and the squad members lived there.
If Aria summoned them, the energy of the space token would expel them and maintain their existence outside of space. But if Aria didn't summon them, and the squad members decided to go without her calling, then their own energy and Aria's light power would be consumed to maintain their existence outside space.
This was bad for the squad members because their energy would be drained quite a lot without the help of the token. On the other hand, Aria felt nothing because the energy taken was very little. Nevertheless, Aria's magic power would weaken little by little if allowed to continue.
Atha advised her not to summon them often if there was nothing urgent. That's because people would recognize squad members if they were present too often, and as much as possible, the squad's appearances should be kept secret.
In addition, Aria could communicate with them when she wished to exchange thoughts through mind space. The sovereign token was hers, and a blood contract bound them. If Aria wanted to speak and give orders without summoning them, the mind space was a suitable place.
However, Aria needed a quiet place where no one would disturb her. She won't need it anymore when she's used to landing in space.
For a newcomer, she would quickly feel dizzy and experience internal injuries if something interfered with her concentration.
In the end, Aria gave up on questioning the squad members further and decided to look for Jarred and Triston.
It had been two days since she had been gone, and Aria was sure the two boys must have been apprehensive.
Since Aria didn't know the boy's whereabouts, she returned home. Who knows, one of them was waiting for her at home. She also hoped that Lyod had come home and was waiting for her, yet at the same time, she hoped that the young man had not come home.
Aria didn't want Lyod to worry and panic when he found out she had left without news. But…
"Miss Aria!!"
Aria gasped in surprise at a booming voice calling out to her. She turned around to see Jarred had run up to her.
The young man's countenance didn't look good, and he was pale as if he hadn't eaten or rested.
"Jarred, what happened to you?"
"What happened to me? How about you? Why did you leave without a word? Did you know that everyone was looking for you?"
Aria smiled sadly, hearing that.
"We still haven't found Alpha. If we have to lose Luna too, our pack will…."
"Wait, what do you mean you guys haven't found Alpha? Where's Lyod? He's not home yet?"
Aria felt herself standing under a rushing waterfall, and her whole body was shivering with cold from being soaked. Lyod was her only crutch and source of strength for Aria to endure.
She didn't know what to do when Lyod left her. Aria hadn't even fully mastered her dark force's tremor yet.
Right now, the evil energy within her was indeed asleep and suppressed by her light power. But what happens when it stirs, and Aria can't help it?
No. She can't give up... Not now.
Every time Aria disappeared and left without a word, it was the young man who chased after her. Lyod always found her again when she was lost. This time, she would find him.
"Jarred, when was the last time you saw Lyod?"
"About four days ago when he returned to the pack for the morning meeting."
"After that? Do you know where he went?"
"To the fairy kingdom to investigate the case of the disappearance of the Fae Prince. After that, we didn't hear from him anymore."
Aria lowered her eyes as she thought of something. From Jarred's words, it meant Lyod disappeared from the fairy kingdom.
Why in the fairy kingdom? Her uncle was attacked by the mimicry and disappeared there. Now… Lyod and…
"What about Khan?"
"The same. The two haven't shown up since leaving for Fairyland."
That's insane! Even Khan disappeared too? The elf was the strongest creature Aria had ever met, even though she had never seen him fight in person. But she had heard Khan had defeated Meryl and a bunch of other rebel elves. It was enough to prove that Khan was a powerful elf.
How could the strongest werewolf and the invincible elf vanish just like that? Something is wrong.
"I have to go there."
"Miss Aria," Jarred clearly opposed this idea. "Our clan is in chaos because Alpha Lyod hasn't shown up for four days."
"I'm sure Alpha Decker and Luna Courtney can handle it. They're still Alpha and Luna."
"That's true. But still…"
"Jarred, I have to find Lyod. If I keep quiet while I don't know what's happening to him, I'll go crazy."
"…"
"Take me to the portal of the Fairy kingdom. You know where it is, right?"
Jarred looked pensive, considering the answer he should give. Under normal circumstances, he would have to bring Aria back to the werewolf realm.
The first reason was that Aria was Lyod's mate and her safety was a top priority to maintain the pack's internal affairs. And the second, the pack would be calmer when they see the faces of their prospective Luna.
At the same time, Aria's appearance during chaos would make the pack members, who disliked the human Luna, more aggressive.
It might be a good idea for Aria to look for Lyod. Even though Aria was just an ordinary human, the mate bond would be handy in seeking the Alpha.
"Alright. I will request permission verification to activate the fairy kingdom portal. You'll have to wait until tomorrow morning before the permit verification is granted."
"I can do it. Thank you, Jarred."
"Promise me you'll come back with Lyod. Both of you must return safely."
Aria nodded with certainty, and there was no doubt at all in her eyes. Somehow Jarred felt confident that Aria could bring Lyod back.
