Ch. 5 Kidnap

How strange. There was no news from Lyod and Khan for the past two days. The young man would visit her every night. Even if Lyod couldn't come, Khan would reach her instead. The search for her uncle took an especially long time, and because Lyod and Khan had to commute to Fairyland made the investigation process more difficult.
Tonight Aria couldn't sleep because she was worried about the two of them. Could it be the werewolf and fae sides cannot compromise? Did they capture Lyod?
Aria paced back and forth in her room while biting her thumb. She wondered if she should go to the fairy kingdom. What if it turns out that the two were fine, and she becomes a burden there?
Khan and Lyod were cautious not to reveal her secret. Aria's secret as a hybrid would be safe if she lived in this mortal realm. No human could distinguish between humans and other creatures. It would be different if Aria stayed in another realm. Even though it took a long time, sooner or later, everyone would find out that Aria was a hybrid.
That's why Lyod strictly forbade her from going to Fairyland.
Aria took a deep breath and threw herself onto the bed with a bang. Her slender body bounced slightly as she fell. Her pair of chocolate-like eyes looked up at the ceiling and wished the magical butterfly was here to accompany her.
Come to think of it; it had been a long time since Aria had seen the vlinder. Where is the butterfly?
Aria would feel a little comforted if the butterfly were there to accompany her.
Unbeknownst to her, a colorless gas emerged slowly from the small gap under the door to her room. This gas moved as if it had a mind of its own.
At first, this gas went to the area near the door where Aria's wardrobe was. Not finding what it was looking for, the gas spun around to look elsewhere.
This gas looked like a blind man entering a new area for the first time. When it hit a dead end and couldn't find where it wanted to go, it turned around and looked to the other side.
At one point, the gas crawled onto the bed and found Aria. This gas gathered around Aria's head and let the girl inhale it as much as possible.
Aria didn't notice and felt no change other than feeling extremely sleepy.
Thinking it was late at night and Lyod couldn't come today, Aria let the drowsiness overcome her, and she fell asleep.
Not long after, the gas thickened and enlarged to form a person's figure before Meryl finally appeared behind the gas. She looked at the sleeping Aria with a cold gaze.
"I went to great lengths to make you hate all werewolf clans and used hypnosis techniques to make Lyod hate you too."
When she heard that Aria's fated mate was Lyod, she manipulated young Lyod to bully Aria.
Lyod wasn't as strong as he was back then and didn't have any anti-magic defense. It was effortless to command the boy and the other human children. She made everyone stay away from Aria so that the girl could trust only Meryl and other elves.
Unfortunately, Quinn was not affected by her magic, thanks to her half-breed blood. Even so, Meryl managed to gain Aria's trust, causing the girl to look for her first when she got into trouble.
Over time, the derivative magic within Lyod began to awaken, and the boy became immune to her hypnotic trance. At one point, Lyod no longer touched Aria, no matter how strong Meryl enhanced her hypnotic spell, which she finally decided to give up.
After all… what Lyod did in the past was enough to make Aria hate the Alpha king for life. The greater the hatred, the more likely Aria will lose to the temptation of the dark force.
Her plan was perfect, and she'd almost succeeded if Quinn and Iona hadn't interfered. Even though Aria's hatred for werewolves was strong thanks to Meryl's magical abilities, the girl's interactions with Quinn and Iona were able to waver her.
"It doesn't matter whether you are a goddess or not. To me, you are still my ultimate weapon." Meryl pointed her hand towards Aria, and in an instant, Aria had moved into her pendant space.
The rebellious elf turned into gas, quickly moved with the wind, and rejoined her comrades.
Arriving at the forest in the middle of nowhere filled with beasts, Meryl took Aria back out and let the girl lie down under a tree.
"We had better absorb her power and kill her before she kills us." suggested one of her friends after picking up a knife to slit Aria's throat.
Meryl didn't stop her and let her friend do what he wanted. But something blocked the elf and bounced off his body so hard that he was knocked back quite a distance away.
Seeing this, Meryl and the others became alert and jumped back, thinking Aria had woken up and was about to strike back. But what they saw was unexpected. Five people in strange robe costumes with armor beneath the robe appeared in unison in front of Aria.
Aria still seemed asleep, yet these five strangers emerged from the girl's chest.
Plus, a little girl who looked so weak and liked to play around stood among them. But her instincts told her this little girl was no ordinary child.
"Who are you?"
No one answered, and they just stood there as they emerged without reacting or speaking.
Meryl's friend, who had been blown away earlier, rose to his feet with difficulty and gritted his teeth. He felt infuriated and desired revenge for his humiliation.
As soon as he realized a small child was in their midst, he decided to attack the girl without noticing the sly smile perfectly etched on the little girl's black lips.
An eye-catching orange magic circle appeared from the ground, and as soon as the elf reached above the magic circle, a bullshark appeared and devoured the elf, creating terror in Meryl and the others.
The beast returned to the magic circle and disappeared from everyone's sight.
"Sum… A SUMMONER!?"
Meryl gritted her teeth at the guess of one of her surviving friends. A summoner used ancient magic and was extremely rare among the five major realms.
If this weak-looking little girl was a summoner and still stood firm after summoning the giant beast, there was only one possibility.
This little girl was a member of the no-face squad, which means… the five of them were Aria's eternal protectors!!
