This is something I never anticipated for, the effortless smiles, the easy conversations, the security and calmness I felt, is something I never thought I needed.

After successfully having a quiet breakfast with Rocky and the random talks here and there, I decided to show him around the castle.

He did mention how he saw the east wing massive, so I decided to blow his mind by showing him the entire castle.

I had a perfect plan on introducing him as our new business partner from the city. I felt bad for not Sharing my new found happiness but it didn’t feel right to tell other people before I explain to him.

So walking around with him wasn’t something I needed to hide.

Well, I also realized he knows nothing about the super natural world. Cause he apparently thinks when we use words like, ‘Alpha, Beta and Mate’, it’s metaphorical.

I played along with what he though for now, then later on when I have figured everything out, I will tell him the truth.

The last couple of hours, I have been figuring out how to explain to him about the whole werewolf thing but I simply can’t seem to get the right word.

You know I can’t just blubber it out like that. Like hello, I’m half wolf and half human, And you’re my mate, the soulmate am destined to be with for the rest of my life,no. I need to have a conversation with him before bringing up the entire truth.

Besides, am worried about how he’s going to react once he find out the truth. Most humans don’t handle it easily , some end up having mental problems and others die because they can’t handle the shock.

I can’t do that to my mate.

“Woah!!”, he exclaimed out of nowhere starring at the swords outside the armory.

I simply chuckle and just enjoy seeing him surprised with all these.

“Those are huge”, he comments.

“Yeah, my men are pretty strong so that’s really nothing, do you want to check them out and others too ??”, I state proudly then I offer him to check the armory.

“There’s others”, he asks looking excited.

I simply nod.

“Please show them to me”, He pleads with a pout and I just laugh it off for I had already offered to show him in the first place.

“Come on”, I gesture for him to follow me as I lead the way towards the entrance of the armory.

I push open the door and all the weapons and a collection of firearms is on display.

“Damn Vicky, how do you own all of this. It’s crazy”, he expresses as he walks around caressing and admiring my toys.

I could tell by his excitement, he’s a weapon lover. He seems very happy to witness all of it.

“Is this a colt walker??”, he questions astonished.

“Yeah?”, I respond.

“Yeah??, that’s all you can say, this is like 400k and that the cheapest you can find for?”, he points out like it’s a big deal.

I don’t say a word, I just laugh it off as he goes back to enjoying his moments with the firearms. He then turn around and gets serous for a moment.

“Been meaning to ask though,are you guys mafia or what?”, he questions with a serious look on his face.

“No of course not , what makes you say that?”, I question surprised with his thoughts.

“I think everything, but if you’re not then am relieved”, he states and goes back to whatever he was doing.

“Okay” , I respond trying to hold in my laugh.

I don’t blame him though, Any other person especially humans will think the same, it’s the weapons, the guards and of course the entire castle.

It’s over an hour later and we just arrived at the office, Rocky takes his sit on the couch while I do on my desk.

I needed to finish some of the paperwork then maybe we’ll go to the infirmary later for Rocky’s check up,

And I might also use that time to finish my conversation with Derek, there’s still a lot we need to discuss and talk about.

“So I was thinking, maybe I should go back home today”, he flatly states Making me snap out of my thoughts.

The pen I had on my hand fell on the desk as my hands suddenly lost all energy, I think I was bewildered for a moment.

“Uh, why?”, I ask trying so hard to hide the pain in my throat.

“Haha, what do you mean why. I am just a guest here but I have a house so I should leave. Besides I have a life back home”, he states while awkwardly chuckling,

Well, ouch!!, that hurt.

I mean doesn’t he feel what I feel??, can’t he read it clearly that I don’t want him to go??,

I was getting confused and hurt, when I knew deep down I had no right to feel this way , at least not yet.

“I think the doctor still needs to check you up before you actually leave. You were pretty hurt you know”, I begin to make excuses as I try my best not to act too obvious but I think I was failing miserably.

“I’m fine. In fact I don’t feel any pain now, am doing okay Victoria, really”, he expresses trying to convince me.

“NO!!”, I unintentionally shout,

He looks at me confused while I try to control my rage which was building up inside of me.

“Are you okay?”, he lowly questions.

I don’t respond,

I don’t understand why I’m starting to feel this way.

“You can’t let our mate leave”, Vera protests in anger.

“I know but stop controlling me. We will scare him”, I plead with her.

Now understanding why I suddenly felt agitated, she’s controlling our emotions.

“He wouldn’t need to be scared if you had just told him the truth about us. This is your fault. You better fix it or I will take charge”, she threatens.

I look at a shaking Rocky who’s obviously surprised with my actions.

I try to speak but my throat is super dry , like am being chocked.

“I , I am really sorry. I don’t understand what is wrong with me suddenly. But of course you can leave”, I explain stuttering and he simply nod not saying a word.

“Stop kissing ass Victoria and take charge. One way or another he will figure out about who we are,So f*****g tell him now”, Vera brawls.

“Calm down vera, I have a plan you just need to..”

“Need to what??, trust you??, I’ll be damned if I let you make decisions when it comes to our mate, don’t forget he’s also my mate and I need him. Stop him now, tell him he can’t go anywhere”, Vera rudely interrupts as she spits out words not getting reasonable.

She’s growing stronger but I need to keep fighting her off. I don’t need problem now.

“Vera stop please, you gonna turn in front of him and we’ll scare him away. Just listen to me..

“Noo”, and just like that, vera takes full control of my mind but still keeping our human form.

“Mate,you are not going anywhere . You’re staying here where you belong with us. I will take care of you so don’t worry”, my voice comes out as growl and I see Rocky’s face turn pale in an instant.

“Victoria what’s happening?, and what wrong with you voice you’re scaring me now”, Rocky states in a frightened tone, he begins to rub his hands shakily and he looks uneasy on the couch.

“It’s just me mate, I said I will protect you, so don’t worry”, Vera growls. But in a low tone,

“Vera stop, give me back control, we will lose him”,I try reasoning out with her but she’s not having it.

“I think I need some fresh hair,” Rocky states.

“No you don’t , sit your juicy ass down mate”, Vera commands.

Vera please stop. You are abusing your power by commanding your other half. It doesn’t work that way. Now stop it dog”, i was so furious at Vera but she’s not listening.

And when I thought the worse is over,

Then the next I know, vera takes our true form, leaving our mate flabbergasted.
