Chapter 3: THE MATE BOND

ALPHA DOMINIC’S POV

I was in the living room, my chest burning with rage. Selena stood quietly in the corner, too afraid to speak. I couldn’t keep still. I paced up and down, the anger in me like fire, my wolf scratching inside. I grabbed one of the flower bottles on the table and smashed it against the wall. The sound echoed, but it didn’t calm me. I broke another, and another, but the fury only grew stronger.

Then the door opened.

Nick walked in with Anna.

My jaw tightened, my heart twisting when I saw her beside him. My own mate. Standing next to another Alpha.

A bitter smile spread across my face. “You traitorous little b***h,” I spat, my voice shaking with anger. “Going behind my back, sleeping in another man's room.”

Before I could move, Nick was already on me. His hand clamped around my neck, choking me, lifting me off my feet. Pain shot through my throat, my breath cut off. My wolf snarled, fighting to take control, but Nick’s grip was iron.

Selena rushed forward, panic on her face. “Alpha Nick, please! Let him go! He’ll suffocate!”

Nick’s eyes were cold. He didn’t care. He threw me away, and my body slammed onto the couch. My ribs ached, but I forced myself back up, not letting him see weakness.

“She’s a member of my pack,” I growled, my voice low, dangerous. “You might be some high-ranking Alpha, but that doesn’t give you the right to steal members from other packs.”

Nick’s eyes went wide in shock. “A member?” he repeated.

His Beta stepped forward and shoved papers into his hands. Nick read them, then looked back at me with disgust. “She was hardly anything of the sort. More like a slave. And as the highest-ranking Alpha, I see nothing wrong with taking what never belonged to you. Anna is my fated mate, decided by the Moon Goddess.”

His words cut deep, but I forced a laugh, masking the storm inside me. I nodded slowly. “Anna is my mate,” I said, my voice dripping with venom. “A pureblood Alpha lowering himself to my leftovers? That’s really something. She’s nothing but a filthy wolfless mutt.”

Anna’s hand struck across my face, the sting burning.

“I would mind your words very carefully, Dominic,” she snapped.

I blinked at her, stunned. “Did you just slap me?”

Her hand came down again, harder this time.

“I can slap you anytime I want!” she shouted, her voice breaking, her eyes full of fire. She slapped me once more, her tears falling. “You keep calling me your mate, but what kind of Alpha forces his mate to listen while he screws another she-wolf? I accepted your rejection. The bond is done, Dominic. We’re over.”

Nick pulled her into his arms. His voice was mocking. “Really, Dominic? You treated her like that? You’re even more pathetic than I thought.”

My hand shook as I pointed at them, my vision blurred with rage. “You… you two are…”

Anna turned to Nick, her voice trembling. “Let’s go. I wanna get out of this shithole as soon as possible.”

They walked away.

The sound of my own roar filled the room. My rage echoed against the walls.

During the night, I sat in my room, bruises burning across my face. Selena pressed ice against my skin, but I shoved her hand away. “Okay, stop. Just go away. I don’t wanna see you right now.”

She left quietly, and the moment she was gone, my wolf appeared.

We lost Anna. Our perfect mate. You f*****g i***t, she will never be yours again. My wolf said.

I pressed the ice against my cheek and growled, “Shut up! I’m not letting her go that easily. I’ll take her back. One way or another.”

Anna belongs to this pack, she belongs to me. Years ago my father killed every werewolves in Anna's pack and took Anna away from Anna's parents.

ever since then she has been in half moon pack believing she's a born rogue as my parents have told her, I'll never let her leave this pack because the moment she leaves those packs, the secret about her past will be exposed, and the entire pack will come after the half moon pack.

I hurled the ice pack to the floor, glass shattering. My chest heaved with anger as I stood.

I stormed down the hall to Anna's room. I grabbed the handle, but it was locked. Then I heard Anna's soft moans from inside. Jealousy stabbed me like a blade. My vision went red.

“Hey!” I shouted, banging on the door. “What’s going on in there? Hey! Open the door!”

I rammed my shoulder into it again and again until the lock finally broke. The door busted open with a crash.

I jumped inside and froze. Nick was on top of Anna.

Rage unlike anything I’d ever felt tore through me. “Nick! Get your hands off my mate or I’ll kill you!”

Nick rose slowly from the bed, his eyes sharp, his stance ready. I prepared to strike, my claws threatening to come out, but the way he squared up told me he was just as ready to fight.

I forced myself to breathe, forced myself to calm down. My voice came out rough. “Look, I didn’t come here to fight, okay? But leave Anna behind.”

But I saw Nick wasn’t going to give her up.

In a flash, he had me pressed against the wall, his face close to mine. His voice was like thunder. “She’s leaving with me, do you understand? Nobody will stop me. Not you, not your pack. And if you f*****g try, I’ll burn the Half Moon Pack to the ground. Do you understand me?”

I glared back at him, hatred and rage boiling in my chest. “You’ll regret this, Nick.”

I left the room when I got back to my room I couldn't hold back the anger, “I have to get Anna back, I must get her back she's supposed to be here in my pack obeying all my orders both in bed and domestically.”

I took my phone and dialed a number.

Hey, Alpha Dominic!

“Meet me in the woods as soon as you can, I have a job for you and this time make no mistakes or you lose your life.”
