The Devil

I scratched his arm in an attempt to get him to release me but he didn't budge. I struggled hard to breath. "Elora?" Andrew called and I opened my eyes a little to see his panicked face as if he just confirmed It was really me. "What the hell are you doing here?!" he rushed forward but someone else blocked his way, holding him away from me. "Get away from her this instance. She doesn't know anything. She isn't a part of this!" Andrew tried to explain but of course no one was listening to him. "Just shut up and tell me who sent you!" The scarred man yelled at my face. I managed to breath in a little air and with the rest of my strength, I raised my knee, sending my hardest kick to his groin. His blood curdling scream left goosebumps on my arms but at least I could breath again. "Run!" Andrew told me when he saw I was free from the man's hold. "Elora, get out of here I beg you." "And then what? I should leave you to die?" "You're in no f*****g position to help me. I don't need it." He was right. If anything, I already made the situation worse for him. Now they won't just kill him but they will kill me too. Still, I couldn't just leave. Andrew... Andrew means a lot to me. "I decide to help you or not." I stepped on that scarred man's arms as I walked forward. That man was still hidden in the dark. As if he was afraid to show his face so I walked towards him. To see the face of this devil who wouldn't even spare his own men. From what I had gathered from their conversation, Andrew was probably working for this man and he is being accused of treason now or they just wanted to get rid of him. "A pretty eavesdropper. I had thought you would leave right away but you came knocking on death's door." he clicked his tongue "Quite stupid" I couldn't agree more with him. Usually, It was pretty hard for me to feel intimidated but today was different. His voice had me feeling a churn in my stomach. As if I was hearing Lucifer's voice but it wasn't bad. It really wasn't bad. I trembled when my eyes finally landed on him. He had no smile on his face. In fact, he was emitting a chilling cold aura that had me all frozen up and his eyes... dark, soulless and empty like a never ending pit. Why was my heart beating so fast? In fear, in awe, or what exactly? I couldn't tell. He had the kind of eyes that could give one chills just by looking, the type you can't help getting lost in even though they scared you so much. "W-who are you?" I managed to find my voice again. "Elora!" Andrew whisper-yelled, reaching out to try to pull me away from that man's front but I avoided him. "Who are you to hurt my brother?" There was silence. He just tilted his head, a majestic aura circling him, looking at me like he was studying my face and then a grin formed on his lips. His stoic face loosened up and a playful yet dangerous look entered his eyes, making me wish he had remained cold and expressionless Instead. This version of him reminded me more of a Devil. Perhaps because that was what he was since I kept relating them. "Elora is it?" The power he radiated was off of this world. No one had had ever made me feel so terrified. "Are you sure you want to know who I am?" "Are you going to kill me after?" I asked back and his grin widened slightly. "How could I possibly hurt such an angel?" he stood up, his towering height made me raise my neck to look up at him as he approached me slowly. He had seemed like a gentleman or so I thought until he was pinning me against the wall again, hands around my neck but he wasn't squeezing. It was just there. "No, no no, my lord. She-" Andrew was scared to death on his knees but they quickly shut his mouth, putting a cloth inside and holding his hands behind him. "You have such tender skin." he held my eyes "Makes me wonder if your bones would be so fragile too. Would it break if I gave it just a little squeeze?" His words sank in slowly but I was only interested on how his thumb and index fingers stroked the skin on my neck gently. I almost closed my eyes, threw my head back and released a moan but I managed to suppress those feelings. Why was it so f-ucking arousing even when he was threatening my life? He just needed to tighten his grip and he would break my neck without a hassle. So why was I not worried? "You know very well the answer to that." I replied him. "Are you still curious?" "I'm sure you know what's coming for the both of you." "He didn't do it!" I told him just when he was going to pull away from me and when he came back, our faces so close, I was glad to be able to feel his warmth again. He made me feel strange things I've never felt before. "What did you say?" "I'm not sure what all of this is, but Andrew didn't betray you. I know when he lies and just now, he didn't lie to you." "I'm the only one who gets to decide that." Our breaths were fanning against each other now and maybe it was my delusion but I caught his gaze wandering to my lips briefly. "So, you're going to kill an innocent man because your investigation team sucks and cannot even find out a simple truth? Do you even have concrete evidence of him betraying you?" "What if I don't?" He smirked, that playful look still in his eyes. "And what if I do?" "Heh, I am sure you don't." realization dawned on me. "You just needed someone to kill and Andrew happened to be the target." As if I touched a nerve, he pinched my cheeks together, distorting my face and forcing me to look at him. "You don't know anything. It's better to keep it shut for the time being." "Or what?" I managed to say and he tilted his head, a sparkle in his eyes as if he had just found something interesting. "Or you'll get what's coming." He released me but I wasn't done just yet. I raised my legs to kick him just like I had done to that scarred man but as if he predicted it, he caught my thigh the moment I raised it. "Not again, sweetheart." Taken aback by that, I tried to hit his pretty face but he suddenly pulled my hands and now, we were in this weird pose. He was grabbing one of thighs, almost reaching his waist. Both of my hands around his neck and his other hand on my waist. Warmth spread all over my body and it was funny how I almost shivered from his touch. I wished I could remain this close to him. I must be crazy to even think that. I quickly tried to detach myself from him, noticing how Andrew and his men had turned away from us as if we needed some privacy. But the devil didn't want that obviously. He pulled me closer to himself, his fingers stroked the inside of my thigh teasingly and this time, I shivered uncontrollably. Tingles spread through me, everywhere he touched. I released a breath. I didn't even realize I had closed my eyes. When I opened them again, he was staring intensely. His eyes burned through me as he asked. "You don't have a wolf, do you?" "Why do you care?" How did he even know that? "Heh" he scoffed "Take them away, Ardolf." he said and the scarred man came forward. The devil released me into Ardolf's waiting embrace. "T-take me where?" I panicked but he just glanced at me, not saying another word before he went out the door and disappeared behind it.
