The air had this metallic tang to it. Arabella stared right at me, her look icy and cutting, like she was stripping me down to just the scared pulse in my chest. "You interfere," she said, her tone quiet. It wasn’t just for me. Her words flowed out across the square, sweet but toxic, getting into everyone’s heads.
