I quickly grab a bagel out of the kitchen and head out of the house. I do not want to be in this place any longer than I have too. Once I am outside, I knew I needed to message Nikki and let her know that I was going to walk down the block to pick me up there.
‘Hey Bethany happened this morning. I needed to get away from the house. Walked down to the end of the block. Can you pick up there?’ I shot off the message really quickly.
I held my phone in my hand as I walked, waiting for her response.
‘Gotcha b***h’ Her response came back a few seconds later.
This was a normal routine for me and her, so I did not even need to tell her where I would be at. So I stuck my phone in my pocket while I walked the rest of the way down the block to wait for her.
