In the span of only a few hours, it was now the second time that I have been put into shock by my appearance. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing looking back at me. I was still bruised and battered, but not as bad as I thought I would be. I was a little confused. It was like I was looking at a completely different person than I was looking at only a couple of hours ago.
My eye, even though still bruised, was no longer swollen and it did not look too terrible. It almost looked as if there was only a small contusion that caused a slight bruising. The bruising that was still around my eye was minimal like I was already almost completely healed.
I opened up the towel completely and set it down on the bathroom counter. I needed to take a full assessment of my whole body.
