I walked home delirious from that kiss with Tia. But anyone who saw my face would doubt it.
My expression was cold. It's something I learned from childhood. I was adviced to never let
anyone know when I'm hurt or angry, or feeling any type of emotion. They always used that
against me back then. A hard habit to die now that I'm an adult, but I wouldn't hide it from Tia. I
couldn't.
I sighed as I crossed the familiar territory, taking in the trees and the chattering coming from
afar and it wasn't just because the forest was eerily quiet- it almost always was. My ears were
