Kael's POV It hurt. A lot. I never thought the day I'd meet my mate would be such a sad day. I didn't chase after Tia because I knew why she ran. I felt frustrated by it, but I couldn't stop her. Attempting to do so would make things much worse. I felt my lips burning from the taste of her, wanting to taste her again. After standing and staring into space for long, I eventually walked back home, deciding not to change into my wolf and just take in the cold air of the night. I needed to feel everything.
