Chapter 11 The Sit Down

681 Words
Charles P.O.V After having my lunch date with Emily I needed to call a family meeting. How can I leave my 18 yr old daughter to deal with this all on her own. After all we are all she has. I dont care what my fiance says she will be present at this meeting. Waiting for everyone to get her at our home, I told Estella, my fiance to make different appetizers because I invited some guest over. Keeping her busy in the kitchen while the guys get here. Finally after being so stressed out on how they can't be on time, there was a knock at the front door. I walk up to the door, and as I expected the guys have arrived. Now the fun part. Getting everyone in the living room including Estella, I took a deep breath and got up to start this meeting. "The reason I called this meeting is because, I had a lunch date yesterday with Emily. Shes a feather away from not being able to handle it all. She and I had a very serious conversation. You guys can all guess what on what it was about. She's trying to figure out on her own who will be the legal guardian for her baby when she no longer be able to. What I mean is that she doesn't just have the virus she has full blown Aids. She has been given an estimate of 3 years only if she doesn't get sick. If she does her time can change. I told her to let me help her figure this out, and she should just worry about keeping herself and the baby healthy. So this is why we are all here." Once I finished talking Estella kept on crying. Eric cleared his throat and stood up. Said the one thing I knew he would say. "I can already tell everyone that no one else will be g4uardian of my grandchild but me. Seeing what my daughter is going through everyday just so her baby can live. Breaks my f*****g heart. And you not being the woman I once knew can turn your back away so fast. Do you have any idea how bad your hurting my little girl. f**k the Aids, your the own really killing her. How do you think she is mentally, when the one woman in her life has turned her back on her. So save your fake tears for others who believe your a great mom. So don't you dare step foot on my property begging to see or speak to her. Loose her number. She has me, her brother, uncle, Charles and my club. She doesn't need you any longer. And as my grandchild I dont care if he or she has the virus. I will do what I can to keep it healthy and raise him or her to have a good life as best as I can. This meeting is over. Thank you Charlie for helping her to keep her peace of mind. But I will be handling all the paperwork for the legal stuff. Let's go guys. I have never seen Eric so angry. If I wasn't there blocking him in getting too close to her, he might of killed her with his bare hands. Especially how bad Emily has been doing. He had every right to feel that rage and be hurt that his ex would walk away and not want to know anything. I've tried telling Estella how Emily has been but she just tells me to stop. That she can't deal with it. So I honestly felt so much better that Eric would take the legal guardianship of Emily's baby. But I would help out as well. No way I won't be part of being there. I dont care what Estella has to say. She made her decision. I honestly love her more than life itself, but if this is how she will be from no on I will have to make permanent decisions and it will be without her.
