Out of respect, they waited for the Captain and the Knight Lord to leave the chamber. Shortly afterwards, he closed the doors to The Gate Room to avert eavesdropping from the sentries, soon to be posted by Gedrick. He turned towards his audience, all three of whom were clearly eager to hear the tale Heldran had tasked him with recounting.
‘I was young at the time, newly inducted into the Order, eager to do my bit, much like Anika in fact.’ he said, giving the young knight a warm smile. ‘Korlith, former Knight Lord and Heldran’s predecessor, was keen to discover the secret of every Waystone in this chamber. To that end, exploration parties were assembled to explore whatever lay beyond each of the Waystones.’
