She tried to make out the creature’s visage beneath its oversized cowl, but all she glimpsed were high cheekbones and an iridescent sliver light that seemed to emanate from the creature’s single eye socket. The strange being filled her with dread, its dwarfed stature reminding her of the malformed Freylarkai who inhabited the western fringes of the domain, away from the judgemental eyes of those living in the vale.
