To cover more ground, they even decided to split up and ask around the academy. The campus was insanely huge; it would be impossible to ask every student as a group. Speaking of group, Rain went to ask some certain people about the club. “So… I understand if your opinion of me has changed because of my decision to quit soccer, and I also understand if you say ‘no’, but would you girls consider joining the Parkour Club?” she asked. The response to the question… was one she least expected. “Of course, Lady Rain!” her fan girls all exclaimed happily. Rain was taken aback by their response. She expected them to refuse or be disgusted with her, maybe even both. The soccer team did when she asked the reserve and third tier members, though none of them agreed to it, stating they would rather not work with someone who bailed on her own team over a small injury. Though Riley, as Sherry had confirmed, agreed to join as a regular member, much to Rain's surprise as well as that of the rest of the soccer team. “Um… You don’t have to force yourselves to agree,” Rain told them. “What makes you think we are forcing ourselves?” one of the girls asked. “It’s amazing enough you came to us, but to even ask us a favor?!” another said. “If this is some dream, no one wakes me up~!” squealed another. Rain was completely left speechless by these responses. They were really okay with it? "W-Well... I guess if you guys are really okay with it," she then said. "And we are~!" the trio exclaimed, smiles beaming on their faces. Seeing them like this, Rain was not sure if she should be glad for having such dedicated fans, or a bit disturbed for it. Still, she was happy to know she needed at least two more people signing up for the club. "Okay then. The signup sheet is up on the board in by the gym. Can't miss it," she informed. "Yes, Lady Rain~!" With that, the three fan girls rushed to the gym. As soon as they were out of sight, Rain went to search for other people to recruit to the club. ****** Meanwhile, somewhere in the academy, in a room small and dark, a figure sat there. "Status report," came a male voice on the other end. "Target is still alive, sir," the figure reported. "Unfortunately, the sniper failed to finish the job. And furthermore, she's trying to start a club in the academy." It was briefly silent on the other end, as the person the figure was speaking to seemed to be thinking about what was just told. "Interesting... Even though she usually ran away when she gets found by us," he said. "What could have changed, I wonder..." "What is the plan, if you don't mind me asking?" the figure asked. "This seems like a good chance. Join her club. There has to be a reason for her staying there. Remember to report anything back to me, especially if she does something suspicious." "And by suspicious, sir, do you mean...?" "Anything in regards to her power. I await further reports." "In that case, sir, I-" Before the figure could say any more, the person on the other end hung up on them. "... Need to tell you that the club she has formed may help her train her powers... I probably should've started off with that."  As much as the figure would love to call back, unfortunately, she was ordered to make her reports short and simple as possible, and not to make constant calls, so as to avoid the risk of getting the line traced back to base. She and the group she was with knew Rain was not the only monster disguising herself as a human, especially when a few of their members got killed in trying to get to her here at the academy. And from what she can tell, though the one and only thing in common to their deaths was the fact that Rain was their target, she found it hard to believe the girl had resorted to murder, especially considering how long she had been on the run before arriving to this academy. As her leader said, there must be a reason for their deaths.  One main possibility that came to mind was one where Rain was not the only monster hiding in school. The organization had met several others like the orangette, so it would be no surprise if there was one other hiding here.  "Well now... I better go and sign up." At those words, the figure got up and left the room.
