JONATHAN GLIDED HIS finger on Lydia’s cheek. “You don’t find me attractive?”
Lydia shoved him, grossed out just by touching him. “Get my sister out here now.”
“Calm down. Let’s get to know each other better.”

“Why do you travel so much?”
She jerked. “What?”
“Is it because you need to run away from something? Is that how it’s been for you your whole life?”
“You don’t know a damn thing about me.”
He did a slight nod. “Deidra told me some things, and I gathered my knowledge from that. I get you don’t like to face your problems.”
Her shoulders dropped.
“That it’s easier to travel so you don’t have to deal with what’s going on at home. Like what, your relationship with Dee or how inadequate you’ve always felt compared to her?”
