SEVENThe sun was doing a nosedive behind the purple mountains by the time Big Jim Bullock pulled into his driveway. The day had been uneventful. A few speeding tickets and not much else. Impatient travelers were easy pickings and helped to fill the town coffers as they sped towards some unknown destination. Agua Verde was a town that people went through, not to.
