Chapter Seven The Reception And What Transpired Later John The rest of the day and evening was spent in a happy whirl of celebration while Christine and I slowly accustomed ourselves to the new mental landscape of being legally bound to each other. After the ceremony I’d turned off her speech-inhibitor for the rest of the day and she was soon prattling on to everyone about how happy she was, though I kept her still with her hands fastened securely at her waist, holding her bouquet.
