The next morning, Elsie showed up in Cristopher's office, dressed in her usual old-fashioned clothes along with her black-framed glasses. Cristopher looked at her up and down for a long time before exclaiming out of exasperation, "Elsie, you're ruining your looks with this awful dress up. Awful!"
Ignoring him, she went and made coffee for him routinely. Then, she began to look at his work schedule for the day.
Cristopher squinted his eyes as he took a sip of coffee. He let out a long sigh and said, "Alas, the coffee you make tastes the best. A day feels like a year without you by my side. I couldn't even do my job in the past two days."
Elsie lowered her head and did not say anything, causing him to lose interest. So, he looked down and read the document in front of him.
