"Where are you coming from?” Brown questioned Aurora immediately she got in. "Excuse me” Aurora replied confused. "Where are you coming from? You don’t close this late” Brown clarified. "Glad you noticed” Aurora muttered causing Brown to raise a brow. "Who were you with?” Brown pressed. "I went out with Brian, we went out to have dinner” Aurora explained and Brown seemed to calm down a bit. "Alone?” Brown asked. "Yeah, just the two of us” Aurora replied and brown spotted the expensive jewelry on her wrist. "Is that diamond? Who gave you that?” Brown demanded. Aurora exhaled deeply exhausted from all the questions, she just wanted to shower and sleep but here is she going through an interrogatory section with her fiancé. "Brian got it for me” Aurora replied and brown gave her a look indicating he didn’t believe her. "Why will Brian get you that? It’s not even your birthday” brown said. "You have his number, call him to get your answers” Aurora replied fed up with this conversation. "I’m hungry, fix me something to eat” brown demanded and Aurora was pissed, he has been home but couldn’t fix himself dinner, she just got back and he expects her to go into the kitchen. "How inconsiderate” she thought. Aurora went into the kitchen and microwaved the rice she made in the morning not caring if he wanted it or not. Aurora stepped out of the shower and smiled seeing Brian’s message. He texted thanking her for spending time with him. She was about texting him back when brown came in hugging her from behind, she knew what he wanted, he was only affectionate towards her when it comes to s*x but unlike other nights, she wasn’t ready to give in to his demands today. "I miss you babe, you left me alone all day” brown said still hugging her from behind. "I was busy at work” Aurora replied brusquely. "I know ways you can make it up to me” brown whispered softly. Aurora hissed clearly uninterested "when are we picking a wedding date brown?” She asked and this was enough to get brown away from holding her. "Babe, what’s the rush? We are engaged already” brown replied. "For eight months brown and you have said nothing about a wedding, always deviating whenever I want us to talk about it” Aurora retorted. "Baby, I want to give you the perfect wedding and a perfect home, that’s why I’m not rushing this” brown defended. "I didn’t ask for a perfect wedding or home, all I’m asking for is a wedding. I’m tired of the questions from my family and friends.” Aurora continued. "Oh please! Babe that’s enough. I engaged you already with a gorgeous ring at that, what else do you want?” Brown snapped irritated. "Well, if the ring is such a big deal to you. You can have it back” Aurora warned about taking off the ring and brown realized that she was been serious this time, his emotional blackmail wasn’t going to work. He usually do this, whenever Aurora got angry about a situation, he would act as though he was angry too then get her to apologize but it wasn’t working this time. "Whoa! It hasn’t gotten to that babe, I’m sorry. We will pick a date soon” Brown said reaching out to Aurora pulling her into a hug. "I was about telling you ways you could make it up to me for your absence the whole day” brown said smiling as he reached for her lips but Aurora turned her face away. "I’m not interested, good night brown” she replied freeing herself from his hands and got into bed. "Oh you’re not interested in spending time with me but you went to have dinner with Brian for hours” brown yelled at Aurora but she didn’t reply back. "Aurora, I’m talking to you” he continued and she was still silent. He hissed and got into bed and they almost went to sleep. Aurora was at work the next day when a surprise package came for her. A bouquet of flowers and a box of Swiss chocolate. She was surprised as to who the package was from. Her mind went to brown, and found it strange that he got her flowers. Was he apologizing for last night? “That’s not his style” she thought. Reaching out for the card in the bouquet, she saw they were from Brian which made more sense. "Flowers and chocolates? What’s the occasion?” She texted Brian. "Do I need an occasion to get you something?” Brian replied. Her phone rang before she could text back. "Hi princess” Brian greeted, "you like them?” "Yeah, I do. Thank you” Aurora replied still skeptical about his motives behind sending them. "What are you thinking?” Brian asked observing her tone. "Why did you send me flowers?” She asked. "I felt like it. Is there anything wrong with that?” Brian replied. "No, nothing. It just feel strange. Yesterday you got me diamond, today flowers and chocolate. If I didn’t know you better, I would think you were courting me” Aurora joked. "What if I’m, is there anything wrong with that?” Brian teased making Aurora laugh loudly, Brian smiled upon hearing her laugh. "Aurora” he called "your laughter sounds like pleasant music to my ears” he said and Aurora was silent for a moment. "Are you still there?” Brian inquired. "Yeah, It just felt different with the way you called out my name” Aurora replied. "Why?” Brian asked. “I don’t know maybe I’m just used to you calling me princess” she lied, she didn’t know how to tell him that she felt like he was moaning her name and she liked the sound of it. "I have to go, talk to you later” she said. "Okay, goodbye princess” he replied before they hung up. Aurora pushed away the unholy thoughts she was having within her, clearly this as a result to the issues between her and brown because why else would she be thinking of Brian in such light.
