It was nearly two weeks later by the time Teodulfo and his friends arrived in San Antonio, Texas in the United States of America. It took them nearly a week to sail from the Philippines to Hawaii, then to California from where they took the railroad to their final destination. They helped the Sibleys unload their truckloads of furniture and carry it inside the two-story villa just off North New Braunfels Avenue after three days on the train. It was a long and arduous journey, but once the weekend came and they got their day off, seeing was believing.
