When he saw the warning candle burning red, he was once more impressed with the woman’s ingenuity. Warning candles were a bit of the old magic that he hadn’t seen for thousands of years.
However, the witch was obviously unaware of their full potential or he would have had just the tiniest bit of difficulty entering the quaint little shop. He couldn’t resist putting out the candle just to gauge her reaction.
