Chapter 15“I see I have some explaining to do,” Ren stated reminding himself that for Nick… it had only been a few minutes since he’d tried to attack him.
“Explain what?” Gypsy asked and released him from the hug. She looked back at Nick seeing the anger in Nick's eyes.
Ren stood to his full height. “First things first, I owe you and Nick an apology. I was half out of my mind with pain and couldn’t even see you that night. Everyone was a blur and the only one I could identify was Gypsy.”
“That night,” Gypsy looked back over her shoulder at him curiously. “But it’s only been about an hour.”
“For you it’s been an hour, but for me… I’ve been healing for over two weeks,” Ren explained.
