23 THUNDER CRACKED OVERHEAD, waking Lance from a heavy slumber. With a groan, he peered outside. Heavy clouds had rolled in over the ocean, dousing the shore with steady rain. He had been looking forward to a long bike ride on the beach, but he’d have to make do with a workout at the gym.
