Jaxon’s POV The tension in the air was electric as I stood in the music room, trying to keep my distance from Stephanie. But it was impossible to ignore her. Her presence was magnetic, pulling me in despite every warning bell going off in my head. She leaned against the piano, her lips curved in a sly smile. Her voice was soft, sultry, the kind that used to make me weak. "You can’t tell me you don’t miss this, Jaxon. Instead, she took a slow step toward me, her perfume wrapping around me like a noose. “Moved on? Really? From this?” She gestured at herself, her fingers trailing suggestively down her neck. I swallowed hard, my throat dry.
