A MAFIA HEART

CHAPTER 1 HE HAS NO HEART

Darren sat at his office from which he could view the balcony, he seems so calm despite all that has been going on. Thoughts were going through his mind, more than anything, he wanted to get off the shadows of the PYTON CARTEL cause they were more of a hook than of help. Mark his right hand man walks in.

"Tell me you bear good news?"

" Am afarid not so boss. The venom cartel has placed a bounty on you, it five million dollars"

" Am worth much than that, I think it time I meet with Henry Colby"

"Am afarid boss, but he is not the one that has put a bounty on your head, it his ruthless son Oscar!!"

The name was enough to send shiver down his spine,he got up from his chair all sweating despite the air conditioner.

"What business does he has with me,why does he want me dead?" Darren ask and mark could see the fear in his eyes but before he even got the opportunity to reply they heard a loud gunshots and Darren quickly brings out a riffle from the side of his locker. Cracking up the gun, he looks intense but was ready to face his fears.

"Boss I think you should get to the safe!!!"

"I can't leave what about my wife and children?!!!"

"It is you they want,not them, get into the safe I will keep them safe I promise" mark exclaim and Darren quickly move to safety.

In front of Darren's mansion stood a tall masculine figure, his eyes were cold, but his gaze were fixed directly to Darren's office, if there was anything Oscar could get at the blink of an eye, that was information, his Intel is never wrong, he knew exactly what time Darren would be at home, despite how heavily fortified the DARREN'S MANSION was, he was able to get inside.

"Boss!! What your order?" Kyle his right hand man ask standing behind him with spiral, Luke and spider ready to take action

"Kill everyone!!!" Oscar spoke calmly but yet in a firece tone, his men quickly headed for Darren's office.

Mrs rose stood at the second floor with her two daughters Trisha and Alita with so much fear in their eyes as mark quickly rush to them

"Follow me! There is a secret passage!!"

"What about my husband?!!" Mrs rose ask

"He is safe! Let go!" Mark spoke trying to hide the panick in his eyes as they follow him but along the way,Mrs rose stopped as she turn to look at Alita.

"Where are you going?!"

"Mom? To the passage off course!!" Alita spoke almost confuse for she knew the woman she calls mother and what she is capable of doing.

"Sorry Alita but you can't come with us, I need someone to stay here and distract them so that Trisha and I can get to safety"

"Am sorry ma'am but this is Oscar Colby we are talking about here, he has no heart, he will kill her the moment he sights her even from afar"

"Who cares!! My daughter and I needs to get to safety first!!"

"Alita I think Mom is right,once we are out of the mansion,mark will come for you" Trisha spoke in a kind but sacarstic tone. Trisha has always being the kind daughter who is ready to do anything to get daddy's approval even at the expense of Alita's happiness.

"No!! Mom, He will kill me" she spoke as tears followed but Mrs rose showed no sign of pity.

"Let go!"

Mrs rose spoke as mark led the way while Trisha followed. Alita stood there with tears in her eyes until they were finally out of her site. Turning back, stood in front of Alita the most handsome man she has ever met. his gaze met hers, his eyes were hazel, there was no way you could tell what he was thinking because those eyes were rid of every emotions.

"So they left you at my mercy, that quiet interesting!" He spoke softly that you could hardly hear his words, he was calm, more like a role model figure who couldn't even hurt a fly but deep down he was nothing but ruthless.

"Please don't kill me!!!" Alita shouted as she broke down in tears, fell on her knees and held him pleading for mercy. Despite all she had being through, she didn't want to loose her life like that, she wanted to make her mama proud even in the grave, she wanted to make a difference in the Darren's family. But right now standing before Oscar colby the king of VENOM CARTEL, she felt that her life would end this minute.

"This is going to be interesting let go"

"No please, don't kill me!!!"

"Who says am going to kill you?" He ask with a smug on his face,he held her hand and took her to the compound where his men were already waiting

"Boss he excaped!!" Kyle spoke the moment Oscar arrived hoping that his boss doesn't get too aggressive about the news but Oscar surprisingly seems to be in a good mood

" It okay,we have his daughter, let go!"

While Kyle and his men drove home, Oscar force Alita into his own car and drove to his safe house.

"Am Alita,what your name?" Alita ask after hours of being in the same car with him but he said nothing and she continues.

"You are taking me hostage but why do I feel so safe with you?" Alita ask as Oscar turn to look at her, it was the first time he got to look at her,her eyes were slender and yet red from all the crying, she was pleasing to behold but look worn out perhaps from excess stress. She looks so thin and fragile and as he looks at her, he suddenly got angry for feeling something, for the first time in his life,he felt pity for a person.

"That because you are an i***t!!"

"Or maybe because am finally breaking free. All my life,all have ever wanted is that she treats me the way she treats Trisha,to be able to look at me with those eyes a mother looks at her daughter,with love, tenderness and compassion. Am I asking for too much?" She ask, he could see the tears building up inside her eyes, he look away, trying not to see those sorrows that live inside of her.

"You were born into an unlucky family doesn't mean you are unlucky, things will get better for you, it just a matter of time"

"Thanks alot . Although they call you the bad guy, but you are the better person. Can I ask you a question?" She ask but Oscar was silent, she has being with him for a few hours to know he is a man of few words and his silence could mean yes.

"What will happen to me if my daddy doesn't come for me, are you going to kill me?"

"I haven't decided on that yet, but yes that might be the option. Five years ago, your daddy took away the most valuable thing from me

"What is that?!!"

"My mom!! He murdered her in cold blood because of the misunderstanding he had with my dad"

"And you want to do disame thing to him, an eye for an eye?"

"No! I am a practical man." he became silent, he didn't respond to any of her questions throughout the ride to the safe house.

His mind kept wondering about everything, he could remember that day like it was yesterday when he held his lifeless mom on his arms, her blood kept flowing no matter how much he tried to control it, she was shot with a poison in the gun, they couldn't control it, that was the one time Oscar felt so powerless .
