Lost Beyond Repair

Chapter 18:

Third Person POV

Emily tosses and turns in her bed. She was stunned. She’s never been kissed before and Jason took it upon himself to kiss her. She doesn’t know whether to feel happy or upset. She likes Jason, but not in a romantic type of way. More of a friend way. She’ll have to tell him making sure he won’t push further into being in a romantic relationship. She likes Nick and has strong feelings towards him, but she doesn’t quite know how to tell him. They live in the same house and she doesn’t want to risk being kicked out of his parents don’t approve of them being together. She rolls over and closes her eyes telling herself she will try to talk to Nick tomorrow when they go car hunting. Finally sleep took over.

It’s Sunday morning and Nick is excited to go car hunting with Emily. They have the whole day together. He asked her how the date went last night on their way home, but she was silent the entire time. He is worried about her. Emily never messaged him for an SOS. He assumes everything was fine. Little does he know she doesn’t want to tell him about the kiss. She feels a little ashamed about it and doesn’t want him to look at her differently once she tells him that it was her first kiss. Nick plans on talking to her more today. Maybe it’ll be different since they are out together enjoying the day.

Emily wakes up around 10. She realizes it’s a bit later than she wanted it to be, but she brushes it off and gets ready for the day. She is excited. She’s finally getting her car today. It took longer than she wanted it to but that’s okay. She will get a car that’s better than the one she was going to settle for. Emily plans on her entire outfit being cute but comfy with the weather being a little chilly. She’s feeling a lot more happy with herself and how she wants to look. She’s progressed from being a very closed off individual who always wore sleeves unless she didn’t have bruises to hide to this girl she would have never imagined she’d be. She wears makeup now, has cute clothes that shows her curves in all the right places. She couldn’t be more happy that Nick saved her from the place she used to call home.

It’s 1 in the afternoon, Nick and Emily are ready to go find a car together and they are both pumped. On the way to the dealership Nick got the best of himself and asked Emily about the night before. “We didn’t talk much last night after I asked how everything went. Are you okay? Did something bad happen?” Emily sighed and knew she needed to tell him what happened. She just hopes that everything will be okay between them. “Yeah, something happened that I didn’t want to or at least I wasn’t ready to happen, but it’s okay. I’m okay honestly.” She said. “It wasn’t something bad was it? I don’t need to beat anyone’s a**?” Nick questioned. Emily laughed “No, it wasn’t something bad and you don’t need to beat anyone up for me either.” Nick laughed along with her and continued. “You know you can tell me anything and I won’t judge you.” She sat in silence for a little bit before telling him what happened.

After a long conversation Nick and Emily are still best friends and plan on having a “date night” later on tonight when they both get home. They finally arrive to the dealership and are appointed to a car salesman. They’ve looked at multiple different cars but none of them fit what Emily is looking for. They are all either out of her price range, too big for her to drive properly, or the ones that are in her price range have issues with transmission.

After 3 long hours of being at the dealership they finally found their match made perfect for Emily. It’s a brown 2008 KIA Rondo. She paid in full and even though it is a used car she’s happy with the car she has picked. Nick’s parents told her that they’d have it in their name since it is already paid off and they’ll help her find insurance to put on the car as well that she’ll pay for. All three of the Jones family members are excited for Emily and so proud of her for accomplishing her car goal. They all decide to go home and celebrate.

Meanwhile, Jason, David, and Jeremy are all hanging out at Jeremy’s guest house.

Jason is sitting comfortably on the gaming chair next to David waiting for David to build his avatar. “How’d you date go last night?” David asked Jason still looking at the screen. “I think it went well. We had a lovely dinner and got to know each other a little more and then we went to a movie. At the end of the night I kissed her before she got out.” Jason responded. “Whoa whoa whoa, you just kissed her? She didn’t let you do anything more?” Jeremy chimed in. “She seems like a prude dude. I wouldn’t bother going out with her again.” David said.

Jason sat there for a bit before answering them. “Honestly I think I’m ready for a real relationship. I’m tired of just hooking up with girls. I really like her.” Jeremy gave him the nastiest look before walking out of the room. “What’s his problem?” Jason asked. “We are young man, live a little. You have your whole life ahead of you.” David said. Jason decided to ignore them and play games for a while before heading back home.

Nick and Emily are having their makeshift date night. The family celebrated Emily buying her first car and now Emily and Nick are in Nick’s room getting ready to watch a comedy movie. They have their popcorn and candies spread out on the bed. Once they found a movie to watch Nick turned off his bedroom light, they got under the comforter and played the movie.

The movie ended and Nick saw that Emily fell asleep. He decided he’d leave her tucked in and cleaned off his bed before getting back under the blanket to go to bed. Around 2 in the morning Emily woke up from a nightmare. She is panicking, she thinks she is back in her parent’s house.

Nick felt the bed jolt suddenly and woke up to Emily having an anxiety attack. He pulled her close to his chest and hugged her tightly whispering in her ear that everything is okay. Emily could feel herself calming down a little as she hugged Nick closer to herself. She didn’t want this to end. She wanted him to hold her forever.

Nick laid down with her still hugging him and they cuddled for a little while until Emily calmed down fully. Emily felt embarrassed with what had just happened. Nick pulled her face up to meet his and told her that it’s okay. She hugged him tightly knowing that everything is okay now. She is still with his family. No one can hurt her. Nick could feel her breaking. He knows she had a nightmare. All he knows how to calm her is just by being with her. He loves the way she feels hugging him. He kissed her forehead. Emily wanted more though. She looked up into his eyes and kissed him on the lips. She felt electricity burst throughout her body.
