Episode 65

331 Words
Bryce and Kiana have been married for over five years but they still gaze at each other with eyes that sparkle with love, respect and appreciation. "I need to talk to you about something," she announces. "Oh...oh that can't be good...usually when a woman says 'we need to talk' she means I have a complaint to make," Bryce chortles. Kiana laughs heartily and waves her hand, "You have been married to me for many years, you know what you just said doesn't apply to me," she promptly replies. "I know sweetheart...I was just kidding, so what do you want to talk about?" He slumps into a chair and attentively stares at her. "I was thinking of getting someone to help me with the kids," she blurts. Bryce wasn't expecting that subject, it takes him by surprise for he thought his wife was handling the motherly and wife responsibilities well. "But you have been managing for all this time, what has changed now?" He quizzically peers at her. "It looks like I have been managing but its not the case, I am always tired and drained at the end of the day and I no longer have time for myself," she laments. "But I thought you were happy taking care of all the house responsibilities and you have Sam to help you out," he says. Kiana frowns at him, she was expecting him to understand right away instead of bombarding her with question after question. "Sam is a child, he shouldn't be over burdened by adult responsibilities," she firmly states. Bryce takes a minute to consider her words, "Alright...that makes sense, so how will this work?" "What do you mean?" "Do you want someone who will be a full time live in maid or a half day one" "I hadn't thought that far but I think a half day maid will be okay," "And so she will spend time alone in our house, with our kids?" He sounds displeased with the idea.
