Bryce and the children gather at the dining room after Kiana finishes setting up the table, the smell of sizzling bacon drifts through the air. It’s smoky and meaty aroma is enough to make Bryce forget about the pancakes that were supposed to be served for breakfast instead of bacon and toast. No one knows what to say and therefore an uneasy silence cloaks the room along with glazed expressions. “Mommy why is everyone so quiet?” Little Bryan asks as he darts his eyes from his mother to his father, it is unusual for them to be this quiet during breakfast or dinner.
